The 6th Titles and Documents Registry Office of Rio de Janeiro does not constrain itself to the validation of documents and the implementation of Justice, for these two activities are subordinated to a greater one, much more important for all who work there: that of conscientiously serving each and every Brazilian citizen, always trying to contribute to their social reeducation, with an attitude of respect and consideration for the human being. And it was due to such commitment that, in its struggle for social mobilization, the 6th TDRO created the Solidary Stamp, a social project that has as its main goal providing the low income communities with a minimum dignity and the opportunity to exert their citizenship.

Concerning our social mission, it is our goal to give the communities labeled as “excluded” access to activities that have up to now been restricted to a minority. Non-governmental organizations and institutions of the most distinct social objectives will receive, at no cost, all kinds of support to fulfill their goals, taking to the communities where they are located a little more hope and quality of life.

Being eventually acknowledged by society and all of its members as an extremely valuable social project, that is always exchanging information and experiences, in order to find innovative ways to improve the services it renders to the deprived levels of the population. Always focusing each action of the Solidary Stamp as one more step towards the thorough fulfillment of the previously established goals.

Solidarity
Basic principle of the people who want to take part in social-oriented projects, such as Carimbo Solidário (the Solidary Stamp), solidarity should never be an instrument of penitency for the remorseful consciences of those who, for any reason, live away from society’s underprivileged flock. Rendering assistance to the deprived is anticipating a better future for us all, by behaving coherently and correctly in our present.

Ethics
Quality standard by which every citizen should gauge his/her acting within the ambit of solidarity, ethics is extremely necessary in all the situations of a human being’s life, mainly when one pledges to help one’s destitute brethren, aiming at building a more equitable and unprejudiced society, no matter how long it takes.

Transparency
That who understands what Ethics is and applies it ceaselessly is automatically a disciple of transparency. Being transparent in one’s attitudes does not mean advertising one’s own deeds, but behaving so as to leave no doubt about each act of solidarity. Solidary behavior requires the constant presence of the dyad ethics-transparency, what ratifies the idea that the accomplishment of the goal depends on the transparency of the means.

Teamwork
Immediate outcome of consciousness and good-will, solidarity goes mandatorily through the universe of planning. And when we are focusing planned solidarity, talking about teamwork is more than just an obligation. It is, indeed, an act of responsibility from those who are reaching out for a long-lasting result, especially in what concerns solidarity.

Responsibility
It is necessary to understand that all those want to engage in solidary teamwork must, before starting, be aware that solidarity, ethics, transparency and teamwork are values that converge to responsibility. Group action is a synonym for responsibility, even though on the whole it depends on individual action, for the success of a solidary action depends on the responsibility of each of its participants, a thesis that founds Carimbo Solidário (the Solidary Stamp) since its creation.

Humbleness
The greatest of human virtues, humbleness not only dignifies the participants of Carimbo Solidário (the Solidary Stamp) but also enhances, within each of them, the outcome of an action, simultaneously building the foundations of the future. A primordial factor for the approximation between society’s neediest areas and those who integrate each and every social action, humbleness must remain the basis of every human relationship, and increasingly foster perseveration as a vehicle for solidarity.
