Profile

The Instituto Novo Brasil Pelo Carimbo Solidário (New Brasil Through the Solidary Stamp Institute) is a non-governmental non-profit organization. Conceived by the Officer of the 6º Ofício de Registro de Títulos e Documentos da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro (6th Titles and Documents Registry Office in Rio de Janeiro), Dr. Sônia Maria Andrade dos Santos, and founded on September 11, 2006.

Its goal is catalyzing the evolution of the Brasilian people’s social interaction, promoting its integrators‘ progressive awareness raising of their individual status of citizens and of their collective status of nation, stimulating them to reappraise their self-renovation power, to start investing in their own renewal, changing attitudes and behaviors, and to engage in the undeferrable struggle to structure equalitarian social, politic, economic, sanitary, cultural and educational conditions in our country – in short: to fight wholeheartedly for the construction of a new Brasil.

The Institute’s mascot logo – the friendly little wood handle stamp we baptized Carimbo Solidário (Solidary Stamp), created by our celebrated cartoonist Miguel Paiva – , besides informing the internauts, in all 6º ORTD’s site, about the available services, tells them the long story that culminates with the foundation of the institution, reports them all the actions it has already accomplished, lists the institutions it assists and offers them the opportunity of signing up for one of its projects as voluntaries, enrolling more institutions, meeting our partners, examining our agenda, leaving their statements and /or even make donations on-line.
